How to Protect Yourself Against Envy
There is a subtle line between envy and admiration. At first, we can say that envy occurs when one either desires what others possess or desires to be what the other is. Therefore, we can say that envy is not an emotion but a behaviour. The envious person does not feel envy but anger at someone who is or have what they do not have. They feel anger towards people who they see as superior to them, since their self-perception is negative due to their low self-esteem. Envy stems from the indignant look from the ones who think that they are a victim of life for not being offered/gifted with wealth, beauty, power, intelligence, etc. or even the light that shines from the charismatic ones. Oh! And how envied is the light from the charisma that someone irradiates! Out of all the objects of envy from an envious one, as incredible as it may seem, amidst cars, houses, perfect bodies, status, etc. nothing is more envied than the state of natural happiness from a person with a more evolved consciousness. Since they possess some attributes no one can take away from them such as serenity, a twinkle in the eyes, a light way of living, an everlasting joy that does not come from the external world, and therefore cannot be taken away or sabotaged. But they can try to steal your charisma by the evil eye, the destructive gaze from the ones who wish you bad luck in order to overgrow you and be seen as better than you because of their dull personality.
This attitude from the envious person generates spiritual degradation from the heavy and negative energy sent by them. There are signs to be noticed when you are being envied and therefore being energetically stolen. Physical sensations as tiredness that arises and comes out of the blue with anguish as if you were threatened, an unidentified dread, since it comes to you energetically. And moreover, if you allow your self-confidence to be shaken, this envious energy can cause you harm. As they say that is not enough not to believe in the power of the envious energy, we need more than that. So what to do then? There are two attitudes that can protect you from the envious power. The first one is your internal attitude, the emotional one, where you need to work on your self-esteem and self-worth, thus, retain your energy since you take ownership of yourself. It is necessary to be whole in order to not allow others to take away pieces of you, once you are torn apart inside because of your everlasting self-doubt you fall easy prey to the envious one. You need to own yourself and a route to that may be work on your confidence about what you are and what you want. Because if you are torn apart in self-doubt, your energy pieces will be available and at hand to the people who is specifically identified to your “energetic pieces” of inner conflict or thrown in the air for the anyone who wishes to possess them.
Assume your choices and bear the consequences of them and your energy will be all yours! The other attitude that helps your self-defence is the use of techniques of energetic and spiritual self-defence, and for the ones who say that this is not necessary I say, “If you protect your physical body with clothes and shoes; why not protecting your energetic body with an energetic wrap?” It is simple and effective when you put these two attitudes together and it gives you a rewarding well-being as you feel more self- confident, self-conscious and energetic since you save more energy. Let us remember that we have another way to look at other’s qualities, which is, admiring them. The attitude of admiration does not steal other’s energy, by contrast, is an attitude of a pupil or apprentice. You may consider the other superior than you within a particular attribute, but accept the virtue, applaud it and use it as a mirror for self-improvement. The attitude of admiration blesses while the envious one destroys. Therefore, collect and put together within your soul the “pieces” spread around because of your self-doubt, fears and shame. Overcoming this insecurity and being wholesome and confident, you’ll be unshakable.
